A college junior of mine today visited an old age home in Bangalore. It gave me the idea to compile a list of some of the good NGOs I have visited in Bangalore. I have visited NGOs in Bangalore that help children, old age, and the disabled. For those of you who are in Bangalore, I hope you will find the list below useful. NGOs for children – Orphanages in Bangalore
Madhu Mansion Charitable Trust

I visit this one every Sunday, spending few hours to teach the kids here. I have been going here for 4 years now.
Sri Sai Krupa Charitable Trust

A very good and well managed NGO. They have some elderly residents also.

Ajay Elder’s Home

Located near my office. Managed and run a humble man, T Sounthar sir along with his wife.
Countree Side Home
Address – Phase 1, Whitefield, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560066
A small but good NGO in Whitefield. It is run by Indira ma’am and her son.
NGOs for disabled – For differently-abled and palliative care
Samarthanam Trust For Disabled

Quite a big NGO with various departments – they provide schooling, training, library and other facilities. You can volunteer to make audio recording of the books which can then be used by the blind students.

A palliative care center for cancer patients. They try to help patients and families cope with the tragedy that struck them. Many children of the cancer patients are adopted by Madhu Mansion Charitable Trust, the orphanage that I visit regularly to teach kids.
