I was blown away. That’s all I can say when I first started reading Bhagavad Gita a while ago. I have always loved books. Over years I have consumed and absorbed knowledge and wisdom shared by some books with great and profound meanings. But what I encountered while Bhagavad Gita is a totally new aspect and perspective of how we perceive and more importantly how we react to situations in life. My understanding of Bhagavad Gita and it’s usefulness for everyday life was limited though. I was still learning to grasp the vastness and depth of this book. Bhagavad Gita or “The Song of Divine” is indeed a work of the divine. Bhagavad Gita is indeed an instruction manual on the way of living and self discovery. In its fold are pure insights into “Who am I”?
I find myself drawn to this book again and again, only to learn something knew every time. Fortunately for me, my Yoga teacher, himself a highly learned Guru on subjects of Upanishads and Vedas has started English lectures on Bhagavad Gita.
The beauty of these English lectures on Bhagavad Gita is that he doesn’t go Shloka-wise, but rather theme-wise which aids in novice beginners like me grasp and enjoy this subject even more.
I am sharing below the links to the first two videos. Hope you find these lectures on Bhagavad Gita in English useful. There will be more coming.
Happy Gurupurnima Day.
